4. Rory McIlroy, 95 Weeks

For a while, it appeared McIlroy was on his way to becoming golf’s next great superstar. He won four majors before his 26th birthday— the 2011 U.S Open, the PGA Championship (2012 and 2014) and the 2014 Open Championship. McIlroy finished 2012 at No. 1 and was last in the top spot September 2015.
