14. Fred Couples, 16 Weeks

Couples first gained No. 1 status in March of 1992 for a week – then lost it – before winning the Masters. He also won the 1984 and 1996 Players Championship, and 62 other professional events. Couples entered the Golf Hall of Fame in 2013.
