Woods closes with a 73 in the final round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and finishes T-31 in an event he has won eight times. He then nearly ends his winless streak at the PGA Championship with a solo-second-place finish. His return to the FedEx Cup playoffs did not end well, as he struggled to a T-40 finish at The Northern Trust.
