Sunday at the U.S. Open

Our national championship has been a bit of a mess the past three years, largely because of course-setup issues and dubious rulings. This year’s Open appeared headed for another crack-up until Sunday afternoon, when Tommy Fleetwood nearly chased down Brooks Koepka with a closing 63. Fox Sports showed that it’s up to the task of presenting the Open; it just needs its partner, the U.S. Golf Association, to hold up its end of the bargain.
