Golfweek’s Beth Ann Nichols was all over this story, which quickly spread across the golf world. The former individual NCAA champion was disqualified from the event after it was determined she hit a ball that had been moved back in bounds. The kicker? According to several sources, Chen’s mother picked up the ball after her daughter’s tee shot went out of bounds and moved it back in play.
