Georgia Hall’s father wore the same pair of socks during each round of the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Royal Lytham – without laundering them. Whether or not those socks had anything to do with Hall’s victory, the stars certainly seemed aligned for the young English player from modest means, who long ago predicted that her first LPGA victory would be a major.
