6. Julius Boros
PGA Tour victories in 1960s: 10 (of 18 total)
Major titles in 1960s: two (of three total)
Boros turned 40 years old in 1960, but the man with the syrupy swing kept on winning. He won the 1963 U.S. Open in a playoff against Arnold Palmer and Jacky Cupit to push his total to two wins in that event (along with his 1952 title), and he finished in the top 5 at the U.S. Open a total of nine times. He became the oldest winner of a modern major at age 48 in the 1968 PGA Championship, beating Palmer and Bob Charles by a stroke. His last PGA Tour victory came a month later at the Westchester Classic. Boros died in 1994 at age 74.
