Titleist Vokey Design SM6 Wedge
Justin Thomas already won the 2018 Honda Classic before heading to Mexico in March. After two frustrating rounds at Chapultepec Golf Club, he shot a 62 on Saturday at the WGC-Mexico Championship and the following day, from 119 yards away on the 18th hole, hit his SM6 sand wedge a few yards past the flagstick and then watched the ball peal back and drop into the cup for an eagle to take the lead.

“C’mon baby, let’s go!” he yelled at Jimmy Johnson, his caddie, as the two high-fived. “That’s what I’m talking about!”
Thomas wound up losing a playoff to Phil Mickelson, but the shot was one for the season’s highlight reel.
Thomas’ 56-degree SM6 sand wedge has been weakened 1 degree to 57 degrees and is a raw-steel model. Over time it has rusted in areas. Extra mass high in the head helps to pull up the center of gravity, which makes it easier to hit lower, more-piercing shots. All of Thomas’ wedges have RADAR stamped on them and have white paint highlights. The SM6 has been replaced in Titleist’s wedge line by the SM7, which came out last January.
