June – Trouble at Shinnecock Hills

The month begins with Woods being ranked No. 16 on the annual Forbes list of the world’s highest-paid athletes. An amazing accomplishment given his current nearly five-year long winless run.

The U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills begins for Woods in disastrous fashion. He triple-bogeys the first hole and never recovers, as the course unleashes  terror on scores of player scorecards. Woods misses the cut.
