During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rory has taken to social media to share his workouts and Fowler has played golf with Justin Thomas. Right-handed and left-handed. DJ has been, well … we don’t know.

Of the four players competing Sunday at Seminole, Johnson’s game appeared to be the rustiest. Johnson’s driver was erratic, his iron game was inconsistent and he did not make any meaningful putts. Coming down the stretch, on the par-5 15th hole, his drive found the water, forcing McIlroy to play solo.

Johnson said on Instagram that his first day of practice was May 5, and NBC reported during the broadcast that his first round of golf since the Players Championship was canceled was last Sunday, May 10. It’s hard to criticize an athlete for not being sharp after he stayed home during a pandemic, but Johnson did not bring a lot to the match.
