Arnold Palmer would have celebrated his 95th birthday on Sept. 10, 2024.
Born in 1929, Palmer passed away on Sept. 25, 2016, after a life-long association with golf.
Palmer accumulated countless accolades in his 54-year career including 62 PGA Tour wins from 1955 to 1973, 10 PGA Tour Champions wins, seven major titles – including four Masters – and six Ryder Cup appearances.
After his death, Palmer still sits fifth on the Tour’s all-time victory list, landing behind Tiger Woods (82), Sam Snead (82), Jack Nicklaus (73) and Ben Hogan (64), respectively.
The two-time PGA Tour Player of the Year award winner went on to earn honors after his playing career. He was given the PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award (1998), the Payne Stewart Award (2000) and Presidential Medal of Freedom (2004).
